INFO:
Sadly, the Siberian squill has returned to my garden. This commonly planted bulbs has now become invasive, especially in woodlands. It is choking out native spring ephemerals like trout lily, trillium, Virginia bluebells and many more. Its takeover is depriving native insects of the plants they rely on to survive. Let’s remove it, shall we? To do this, you need to develop a severe hatred towards these invasive plants. Throw in a healthy dose of hubris and a shovel and you’re all set. Invasive plant removal is not a one shot deal. It requires regular monitoring of your garden and timely removal of these problematic plants. YOU CAN DO IT!
